Ah, Halloween! It's one of the best nights of the year when you're a kid: a spooky evening filled with candy, fun, and the chance to be someone or something else. For their part, babies have no idea what's going on. But for parents, it's an opportunity to get insta-ready family photos and take your parent tax on all that candy (other people do this, right?).

When looking for costume ideas, keep in mind your baby's comfort. If your little one is really little, think about what they'll wear carefully. You'll want to avoid anything that covers their face or is too bulky for sleeping or the car seat. If your child is crawling or walking, you'll also want something that lets them move around freely. Otherwise, you're free to indulge your own whims. Soon your child will have opinions on what they want to be; this year, it's all you.

Here are great options that are cute as a button as well as easy to wear.

  • Buying options:

    $35

    $35

This one is just a-doe-able: a hooded baby dear jumpsuit with enclosed hands and feet. The faux fur belly and tail offer a sensory experience, and the ears and antlers are sewn into the hood, so no worries about them being left behind. If you live in a cold climate, you can't find a warmer costume than a onesie with a hood; you can even layer clothes underneath for extra warmth.

    Heads up

The hooves don't come off or open. This can be frustrating to older babies who like to use their hands.

    Specs

    • One-piece jumpsuit with zipper closure
    • Available in sizes 0-3 to 12-18 months
  • Buying options:

    $50

    $45
